Clearing the Way for Business Expansion
Between classes and essay work it’s hard for students to find the time to work enough hours to pay for tuition. For David Lawoski, the phrase, “you can always clean windows” took on a literal truth when he started The Window Butler. After years of hard work and countless sparkling windows, business began to take off.
With success came the need for expansion, and David started to approach the banks for financing. Unfortunately they wouldn’t lend him the money because his small business “did not justify the risk.” “Banks only lend money to those who don’t need it,” says David who began looking for alternative options. That’s when he learned of OCLF and its character based financing model. The loan he received covered equipment costs and helped turn Window Butler into Ottawa’s largest window cleaning business.
