Social Enterprise Stimulus Ottawa/ Stimulus des entreprises sociales Ottawa (SESO)
In both official languages, SESO supported start-up and early-stage social enterprises of all types (Not-for-profit, For-profit, and Cooperative). Social Enterprises that qualified could receive high-quality wrap-around services, for example training, mentorship and business development support, including access to financing.
Social enterprise development coaching was offered by CISED (Centre for Innovative Social Enterprise Development) and mécènESS.

Social Enterprise Demonstration Fund: an initiative to provide growth financing for Ontario-based social enterprises. The Social Enterprise Demonstration Fund helps social entrepreneurs/enterprises who are tackling Ontario’s most pressing social and environmental issues, and creating jobs.
Centre for Innovative Social Enterprise Development (CISED) currently offers support for social enterprise in the city of Ottawa, including access to technical expertise, coaching, financing, and learning communities, training, and cross- sector partnerships.
MécènESS is an enterprise providing technical assistance to French Social Enterprise promoters, delivering training, providing coaching and mentorship and develops many social enterprise resources accessible in French and in English.
Invest Ottawa carries out economic development programs in the area of entrepreneurship mentorship, start-up development, business incubation services, commercialization, targeted sector development and investment attraction.
Conseil de la coopération de l’Ontario (CCO) provides education, promotion, coordination and advisory services to Ontario Francophone cooperatives and social enterprises.
